In America the pledge of allegiance is godly
no man who serves his country will
have benefits for life
they are fleeting
every politician has sacrificed a life
written random names of innocent
bystanders on stinky notes
come back to the scene of the crime
and shrugged over dead bodies
informed their guard dogs that they have proper
training
by proper I mean VIOLENT
by training I mean
CHAOS
They all have families too, you know?
sons and daughters who have never starved
or wanted
safe from the bombs they demand be charred longer on the grill
instead of white wine
and artisanal beer
they order coffee
sweetened via praise and disillusion
colored with gunpowder
